Ireland is located off the north-west of Europe and is easily accessible via a wide range of airports and ferry ports.

Ireland has four main airports, Dublin, Shannon, Belfast and Cork. Cork is the only one of the four airports that does not have a transatlantic service. All airports are well served by flights from Britain, Continental Europe and an increasing number of cities around the world. There are also excellent ferry services from Britain and France, sailing into Dublin Port, Dun Laoghaire, Rosslare and Cork.

The Temple Bar area is located in the centre of Dublin city and, as such, is well serviced by public transport. Practically every bus passes within walking distance of the area. Three DART (Dublin Area Rapid Transport) rail stations are located closeby at Pearse, Tara Street and Connolly. A regular bus shuttle service runs every 20 minutes from the airport to the city's main rail and bus stations. The service runs from early in the morning until midnight and the journey takes a half hour.
