TBCT welcomes 1.9m capital investment by Arts Council in arts facilities in Temple Bar

As part of Minister John ODonoghues programme for improving the infrastructure for the arts and culture, the Department of Arts, Sport and Tourism earlier this year allocated 7.5m capital funding to the Arts Council.

The Council has announced details of how this very significant capital investment will be spent and TBCT welcomes the decision to allocate 1.9m of the fund to organisations and facilities based here in Temple Bar, Dublins Cultural Quarter.

Dermot McLaughlin, Chief Executive of TBCT said These capital funding allocations are vitally important and will help to sustain a huge range of organisations and activities based here in Temple Bar, Dublins Cultural Quarter. Investment in facilities, equipment and other facilities is vital if artists and the organisations involved in commissioning, producing and presenting their work are to be able to offer audiences the best quality experience possible. TBCT applauds the Minister, the Department of Arts, Sport and Tourism http://www.arts-sport-tourism.gov.ie/and the Arts Council www.artscouncil.ie on these funding decisions.
