President of Ireland Mary McAleese to launch The Butterfly Effect at The Ark today�
The Ark � A Cultural Centre for Children will today welcome the President of Ireland Mary McAleese to Temple Bar, Dublin�s Cultural Quarter to launch The Butterfly Effect � An Arklink Retrospective.
This project has been created by the children of Fatima through Arklink. Arklink is The Arks year round community based arts programme. Through the years, ArkLink has provided children with a range of cultural activities in the areas of visual arts, film, music and dance to nurture them in all areas of their lives as they grow to adulthood.
From a collection of dramatic hats inspired by Philip Treacy�s work, to a series of bold paintings in relief titled In and out of the frame, The Butterfly Effect also highlights the programme as a unique and important model of arts practice with children.
